What we do
Three ways we handle doors.
New door installation
Hydraulic one-piece, bi-fold, and sliding door systems installed on new hangars — sized and specified with the structure so the header, footing, and power are right the first time.
Replacement on existing hangars
Worn or undersized doors replaced on airport, FBO, and private hangars, including header modifications and new electrical service for the operator.
Repair and service
Hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical repairs — pumps, cylinders, controls, seals, and tracks — by crews that self-perform the electrical side.
Why it matters
A door is structure, hydraulics, and power — we do all three.
Most door problems are not the door. They are an undersized header, a footing that moved, or an operator without the service it needs. Because Horst Co self-performs the electrical and builds the structure, one crew diagnoses and fixes the whole system instead of handing it between trades.

Structural modifications, door hanging, hydraulics, and electrical, self-performed and coordinated so the hangar is down for as little time as possible.

Which areas does Horst Co serve?
We are based in Central Tennessee and handle commercial construction, site work, and the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC trades across the region. For custom airport hangars we build across Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Texas.
Do you install or replace hangar doors on existing hangars?
Yes. Hangar doors are a regular part of our work — new installations on hangars we build, and replacements and repairs on existing airport, FBO, and private hangars. Because we self-perform electrical, the power and controls for the door operator are handled by the same crew.
What types of hangar doors do you work with?
Hydraulic one-piece doors are the most common request, and we also install and service bi-fold and sliding door systems. On a new hangar we size the door with the structure; on an existing hangar we assess the header, footing, and power before quoting.
Door stuck, or a hangar that needs one?
Send the airport, the door size if you know it, and a photo or two. We’ll come out and measure.
