A multi-hangar, design-build development at Jumbolair Aviation Estates — pre-engineered steel, hydraulic doors, offices, and the concrete, power, and systems behind them, with Horst Co crews on site since November 2025.
Jumbolair Aviation Estates, the fly-in community north of Ocala, announced a 22-hangar, 102,000-square-foot hangar development for the property in late 2025. Horst Co crews have been on site since November 2025, taking the buildings from slab prep through steel, cladding, hydraulic doors, and finished interiors.
One team, every phase
The photos on this page are the build in order: rebar and vapor barrier for the slabs, rigid-frame steel going up, wall and roof panels, doors and windows, then the concrete aprons — several of them poured at night to beat the Florida heat. Because Horst Co self-performs the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, the trades followed the structure on one schedule instead of three.
Why it matters if you are planning a hangar
A development like this is the same work as a single private hangar, repeated with discipline: door systems sized with the structure, offices designed in rather than added later, and site work that drains away from the door line.
